 Pre-requisites:

Certified reflexology and massage therapists

Please bring hand lotion (not oil), a small pillow and towel. You will be putting the pillow on your lap when practicing and use the towel to protect the pillow from the lotion.

 Workshop Description

The goal of this Hands-on Dementia workshop is to allow reflexology therapists to feel comfortable approaching and working with a client who is living with dementia.

In this workshop you’ll learn:

 How to use hand reflexology to help people who are living with dementia. Techniques to help you understand and communicate with a person who is living with dementia.  

We will also discuss the fears and stigmas associated with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementias that may be preventing us from helping this vulnerable population that needs us the most.

Continuing Education 3 CEUs for RAC Members.   Certificates Certificate of Attendance will be provided to attendees following the workshop.
